Bah!
After a heavy night of rainfall it is with great regret that the organisers have had to cancel the final day.
So sayeth Robert Benson, Show Director Robert Benson of the Lowther Country Fair.
Didn’t go yesterday on account of the rain + feeling like poo due to viral cold snot based lurgy, I knew this was a tactical error but the call of the sofa was stronger than the call of an hours drive plus half hour queuing then slogging around in the mud whilst wishing I was on the sofa. Pissed down all last night and the field was like a scene from Flanders in the Great War, without the terror and death obviously. Though I wouldn’t necessarily rule out trench foot.
Missed last years show too on account of new born baby in the house.
Fingers crossed for next year.
