Internal Passports
Hmm. The very thought of an internal passport, that one should need a passport to travel in one’s own country should be abhorrent to anyone who believes in a free country - or even a semblance of one.
Yet according to Samizdata Meg Hillier MP, reposible for the vile ID Card project seems to think that this is a great idea and a reason why ID cards have merit!
You should see an ID card like a passport in-country
The thing is Meg my dear that is exactly how I see it, and just one of the many reasons why I vehemently oppose the very concept of an ID card.
