Lowther Show 2009 Off!
Bloody hell!

Wet weather caused the show to be halted half way through this year’s event in August and it has now put paid to next years’ show.
Organisers said that the show ground failed to recover from the severe damage and they have been forced to cancel next year.
Show director Robert Benson said: “To have to cancel the whole show due to weather is totally unprecedented and deeply saddening.”
They intend to continue with the show in 2010.
Having missed out last year I was really looking forward to this year’s event. Dunno how they know that we aren’t going to have a cracking spring and summer, I guess the field still resembles the fields of Flanders.
