Political Correctness Finds Religion
I’’m a member of a good bbs about knives. Normally it is a sensible place where a chap can talk bollocks and ramble on about kit and blades with decent folks.
Recently though an edict came from the moderators regarding respect for others, swearing as it happens. No problems so far, however it turns out that the so called swearing issue is regarding blasphemy. Yep taking the “Lord’s” name in vain and such like. Fuck me. If this was about respecting the name of Allah we would poo-poo it as pandering to religious zealots and quite rightly.
What kind of weak assed numpty pisses their pants because someone says “Oh for Christ’s sake” or “Oh my God!”. Someone who’s faith in their own imaginary friend is pretty bloody weak I reckon.
People, you simply do not have the right not to be offended. If I say something which is part of the common venacular and you get offended by it - tough shit. Get over yourself.
