UKIP Gains an MP
So UKIP gets it’s first MP. Not how we’d like it, in an election, but we’ll take what we can.
Certainly it’s nice to finally have a figure in the lower house. The coverage was beyond piss poor. If this was a blue going red or t’other way around it would be headline news, not page 14 stuff.
Hopefully we won’t end up with egg on our faces with another Kilroy-Silk style character. Certainly there will be people saying that he should now become party leader, which makes some sense but we can’t have a Johnny come lately jump in and take the top job, Tory party haven’t exactly enjoyed having him. How much of that is down to his opposition to their socialist fedaral policies remains to be seen.
